New Job at Zion Studios
I read a quote by Mark Batterson “Hurry kills creativity and compassion” It sums up for me how important it is to slow down and take care of the important not just the urgent.
My new job as production assistant at Zion Studios allows me the opportunity to work with creative people who are not satisfied with mediocrity. We keep going and working on it till it is right. The owner of...

Motorcycle Suspension
OK, I had to climb up on a lift that my bike was fastened to and have these three guys shake and adjust the suspension. They assured me I would not fall off. I am afraid of heights so it was a little scary :) The bike seems to handle better already. Love this motorcycle stuff!!!

Friends
What a blessing friends are. They are a gift to be cherished and protected.
True friends have a mutual respect and admiration for each other. A true friend speaks truth to you and if you are smart you listen to what they say. I have been so busy that I have not stopped to nurture the friendship that I have built along my life’s journey. I am sure glad that some of my friends have been...
Captivity of Activity
When we keep ourselves so busy “doing” and not “being” we fail to hear the voice of God. I have failed in the past to hear what God was trying to tell me because of all the noise in my life. That noise can be work, TV, computers, hobbies, friends, sports anything that you place higher than your relationship to God.
Be still and know that I am God.
Never to Old to Learn Something New
OK, I am not as fast or as smart as my two sons when it comes to computers, but I am committed to understanding at least 1/3 of what they say when they are talking about their Mac, web sites and other technical words that sound like a foreign language. I am almost 50 but still have a few brain cells left to learn a new thing or two. I now have Facebook, I twitter, I have a web site that I blog on...

Restructuring our lives
I was reading a devotional book by Beth Moore called Whispers of Hope. Day Nine talks about I Corinthians 10:31 “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” The challenge she gave was to:
Reestablish the goal-Isaiah 43:7
Redirect your focus-Matthew 6:33
Rethink your motivation-Galatians 1:10
Rest in God’s will-Hebrews 4:10
I was caught in the captivity of activity. I...
